Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Upcoming Online 8-week MBSR Program Summer 2025

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a well-respected program in the medical community for managing stress, pain, mood disorders and the challenges of daily life. Developed in 1979 by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts, MBSR complements traditional medical and psychological treatments.

I am a qualified teacher for the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Program and a member of the Global Mindfulness Collaborative (in association with Brown University).


This eight-week online group program combines guided mindfulness meditation with practical learnings on stress, perception, and communication. All classes take place on Zoom (schedule below). You will learn to:


  • Recognize and shift automatic stress reactions that contribute to burnout.
  • Identify personal stressors and explore healthier coping strategies.
  • Understand how stress impacts the body—and how mindfulness can interrupt the cycle.
  • Use mindfulness to improve focus, emotional regulation, and decision-making.
  • Practice mindful listening to enhance communication and relationships.
  • Develop a personalized plan for integrating mindfulness into daily life.
     

MBSR offers practical tools to navigate stress with greater awareness, balance, and resilience. The supportive group setting facilitates your learning.

* These sessions will be 3 hours instead of the usual 2.5

MBSR Free Online Info Session

There will be a free info session on Tuesday June 24th 2025 at 6pm Pacific Time that explains how the program works and I guide meditations similar to what will be in the program.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. 


  • If you have already registered, you should attend this info session so you know what to expect in the program and can feel prepared.
